• Salesforce’s real competitors depend on your size. Enterprise buyers weigh Microsoft Dynamics and Oracle; mid-market and SMB teams weigh HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, Monday, Freshsales, Attio, and Conduyt.
  • The biggest switching drivers are per-seat cost and implementation weight. A 25-seat Sales Cloud Enterprise deployment runs $9,375/mo before implementation, which typically adds $5K-$50K+.
  • Flat-rate and AI-native platforms are the fastest-growing corner of the market. If AI agents are part of your workflow, evaluate API surface and MCP support before brand names.

Salesforce is the biggest CRM vendor on earth, and for enterprise deployments with dedicated admin teams it remains the default. But “who competes with Salesforce” has a different answer depending on who is asking. This guide maps the competitive field honestly, including where Salesforce still wins.

The enterprise tier: Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Oracle

At the top of the market, Salesforce’s competitors are Microsoft Dynamics 365 (deep Office and Azure integration, comparable pricing and implementation weight) and Oracle CX. These platforms compete on procurement relationships, compliance certifications, and ecosystem depth. If your organization has an admin team and a six-figure software budget, this is your comparison set, and Conduyt is not in it. That is the honest answer.

The mid-market tier: HubSpot, Zoho, Monday, Freshsales

HubSpot is the most common Salesforce alternative for teams that want marketing and sales in one platform with far less setup. Its trade-off is per-seat plus per-contact pricing that compounds as you grow. Zoho CRM wins on price breadth across its 50-product suite. Monday Sales CRM comes at CRM from workflow management, and Freshsales bundles its Freddy AI into mid tiers rather than charging a separate AI fee.

The sales-focused tier: Pipedrive, Close, Attio

Pipedrive is the clean pipeline-first choice. Close targets dialer-heavy inside sales teams. Attio is the design-forward, AI-native newcomer gaining ground with SaaS teams. All three charge per seat; all three are dramatically lighter to implement than Salesforce.

The flat-rate, AI-native option: Conduyt

Conduyt competes with Salesforce for sales-led teams that do not want per-seat economics or an implementation project. It is $299 or $499 per month flat with unlimited users, includes a built-in dialer and SMS, and exposes 500+ REST API endpoints plus a native MCP server and CLI, so AI agents are first-class users. At 25 seats, the math against Sales Cloud Enterprise is $499 versus $9,375 per month. Where Salesforce wins instead: multi-cloud orchestration, industry clouds, AppExchange depth, and organizations already standardized on the platform, where leaving costs more than staying. The full head-to-head is at Conduyt vs Salesforce.

How to actually shortlist

Pick by constraint, not by brand. If procurement requires enterprise certifications and deep customization: Salesforce, Dynamics, Oracle. If marketing drives your pipeline: HubSpot. If you want the lightest pipeline tool: Pipedrive. If price is the constraint: Zoho. If AI agents and predictable cost are the constraint: Conduyt or Attio. Run a real trial with your own data, build one automation, connect one integration, and pull one report before you sign anything. For the cost dimension across all of these, see our CRM pricing comparison, and for the broader decision framework, how to choose a CRM.
