Answer first
Yes. Zoho CRM has official, built-in MCP support in the form of four pre-built servers that Zoho hosts, so there is nothing to build or run yourself.
Each server covers one area, from read-only data queries to record edits, module customization and workflow rules, and every action is limited to the signed-in user’s CRM permissions.

01 / Exposes
What it exposes
Zoho groups its MCP tools into four servers. You can install one or several:
- Data Insights (read-only): query records across standard and custom modules with COQL, filter, sort, group and paginate, and read the module list and field schemas.
- Data Operations: create, read, update and delete records, run bulk operations, read and update related records, and search with COQL.
- Module Customization: create custom modules and fields, update field properties, and read, update, activate or deactivate page layouts.
- Workflow & Process Automation: create, update, list and reorder workflow rules, and manage workflow task actions.
Zoho also sells a separate product, Zoho MCP, for building MCP servers across Zoho apps. A Zoho team member said in the CRM announcement thread that the built-in CRM version “does not have any additional features” beyond it.
02 / Connect
How to connect it
- Pick the servers you need. Read-only reporting needs only Data Insights; an agent that edits records needs Data Operations.
- Install in your client. Zoho publishes setup guides for Cursor, Claude Desktop, VS Code and Windsurf, and says any MCP-compatible tool works.
- Authenticate on first use. The first tool call opens a browser for a Zoho sign-in. After that, the tools are available in your client.
- Switching organizations means disconnecting the server and signing in again with the other org.
03 / Limits
Limits
- API credits. Zoho states that calls made through MCP consume API credits in the same way as standard API calls and are subject to the existing API credit limits. A busy agent spends the same budget as your integrations.
- Phased rollout. Zoho’s announcement says the feature is rolling out in phases and will be available in all data centers soon. Confirm it is live in yours.
- Broad write power on two servers. Data Operations can delete records, and Module Customization can change your data model. Zoho’s FAQ notes that deleted records go to the recycle bin and advises reviewing prompts before confirming changes.
- One org per session. A connection is scoped to one Zoho CRM organization at a time.
04 / Conduyt
How it compares to Conduyt’s MCP
Zoho’s approach splits capability by server, so an admin controls exposure by choosing which servers to install, and usage draws on the same API credits as everything else. Conduyt’s MCP server, as described on the Conduyt AI page, exposes 290+ tools across 34 modules and controls exposure through scoped API keys, for example a read-only key for an analytics agent and a write-scoped key for an automation agent, with dry-run mode, confirmation tokens for destructive actions and an audit log. For a team already on Zoho, the built-in servers are the natural first step. The developer page covers Conduyt’s setup.

Frequently asked questions
Does Zoho CRM have an MCP server?
Yes. Zoho CRM provides four pre-built MCP servers: Data Insights, Data Operations, Module Customization, and Workflow & Process Automation. Zoho hosts them, they work with MCP clients such as Cursor, Claude Desktop, VS Code and Windsurf, and they authenticate through a Zoho OAuth sign-in.
Does the Zoho CRM MCP server use API credits?
Yes. Zoho states that API calls executed through MCP consume API credits in the same way as standard API calls and are subject to the existing API credit limits.
Can the Zoho CRM MCP server delete records?
Yes, through the Data Operations server, which supports create, read, update and delete. Actions are limited to what the signed-in user’s CRM role allows, and Zoho says deleted records go to the recycle bin, where they can be restored before permanent removal.
